Next Meeting: March 12, 6:30

  • Session Title: Managing DotNetNuke with SQL Server
  • Session Description: If you have ever managed a DotNetNuke website, you know that the user interface just sometimes doesn't cut it. There are times in any database-driven website where the changes can be made faster and easier by just going directly to the database. This session will show you some of the more common techniques that can be used to safely make changes to your DotNetNuke website

    Speaker Bio: Will Strohl is an ASP.Net architect and developer based in the Orlando Area. Having been in the web development field for over 10 years, he began professionally in 2000. Currently, Will is the Technology Director for an exciting new online travel company called
    RezHub.com. He is also an active member and President of the Orlando DotNetNuke® Users Group, and a member of the reformed DotNetNuke® Media Module Project Team. He regularly speaks at local events about DotNetNuke® and the various ways it can be used and managed. He also won the INETA Community Champions award for 2008 Q3. Most recently, Will has been publishing DNN videos on JumptStartTV, and is a contributing technical editor for Professional DotNetNuke 5, and DotNetNuke 5 User's Guide by Wrox.

SCSUG Post meet info

“The meeting was loads of fun and Frank not only got me thinking about using SSRS instead of writing custom code for a purchasing problem, he had some other info on GP which we’re trying to implement, so I’m glad I came.”

Space Coast SQL Users Group had the first meeting on Thursday February 12th, at 6:30pm. Frank Hamelly from East Coast Dynamics spoke about SQL Server Reporting Services and its applicability in financial and operations reporting. We had an attendance of 18, we listened to Frank speak and answer questions, while eating pizza. The audience participated with questions and comments and overall dynamics of the group was a great success. Afterwards we all went to the Holiday Inn to celebrate the Kick Off of SCSUG.
